After alot of thought, I've decided that it was a good idea to change my gallery name. After speaking with enough people (a number that concerned me greatly) I've come to the conclusion that it is a wise idea and in my best interest to change my DA name.

For those who are not sure what I am talking about I'll briefly explain. To use the word monkey in reference to a African, African-American (as myself) or to anyone who is considered Black, is an insult. This was something I did not realize for a while. But after giving out my gallery name and carefully watching peoples reactions for the last few years I can understand why they react in the manner that they did.

I hate to give up my old gallery. I've worked really hard to get my art noticed and now I have to start from scratch. But as with everything, this will work out. Thanks for understanding! I'll be sending this same message in notes to as many as i can.

I hope this isn't going to cause too much trouble for anyone.
